Reference Sires

Classical Silver is a 1993 GRAY stallion, standing 15.1 hands, weighing 1250# with excellent bone, good feet and a great attitude.    We sold Classical Silver to a Quarter Horse breeder in central Mexico but have left his page in the web site because we still have several of his daughters, 2 half sisters and one gelding by him.

Classical Silver is the last grandson of Doty’s socks Jr, the stallion that Cheri had in the 1970s that was an AQHA Champion with 239 points in 10 open events plus an NCHA Certificate Of Ability.

Best of all, he has produced foals with outstanding conformation and ability that are naturally gentle, easy to get along with and show little or no resistance even when great pressure is put on them.   People tell tell us all the time that their ‘Classy’ babies are the easiest colts they have trained.

‘Drifter’ is a 1997 GRAY stallion, standing 15 hands and weighing 1250#.   He  was foaled grullo / dun, so he carries all genes and has sired over 90% color with the best dispositions anyone has ever seen.   His sire is a famous California roping sire named Croton Gray, a double bred Driftwood stallion.  His dam was a Foundation bred / running cross that put a lot of speed in his cowhorses.
His foals are ‘born broke’.  Complete novices have trained him sons and daughters and made competitive performance horses out of them in many events.

Drifter was dragging calves to the branding fire in the fall of his 2 ear old year.   He drug hundreds of them by the age of 3.  The first 2 photos below are Drifter at 2 and 3.  The others are photos of sons and daughter of Drifter.

Drifter was exported to the UK in 2011 where he joined many of his sons and daughters.  We have one last 2 year old gelding by him and still have several of his daughters.  They have been excellent producers.
