CALL HIM THE FLASH -- 1998 SORREL STALLION

Sire: Billy Allen's Quartro N Freckles by Bill James' great Colonel Hotrodder

Dam: Rose Danna Zanna by 3 time World champion, Zan Parr Bar -- trained and hauled heading horse

Call Him The Flash was foaled on Wolfe Ranch.  His dam was purchased, in foal, from Billy Allen, Scott city, Kansas.  He showed Zan Parr Bar and roped off of many of his sons and daughters, making several AQHA Champions, showing many of Zan Parr Bar's 17 World Champions.  Zan Parr Bar, himself, was a 3 time World Champion. He was also the sire of the dams of many top cowhorses, roping and reining horses in the 80s and 90s.

Flash was trained as a reining horse and cowhorse.  About the time that he was ready to show, Mr. Wolfe had a heart attack and a brain bleed, and spent more than a year in recovery.  Flash stood around breeding mares for several years when Cheri Wolfe decided she could possibly show him.  She did haul him (at age 9 or 10) to just a few local shows, winning the Oklahoma State Fair under both judges and winning shows at the big Ardmore Circuit.  By then, Arthritis had claimed her back and she could barely walk, much less ride competitively, so 'Flash' was retired to just breeding the select group of Wolfe Ranch mares that still remained.
